If you’re in dire need of a 16th-century Sicilian villa to spill your marriage secrets, Villa Tasca is now available to rent on Airbnb.
The palatial estate, which starred in the second season of HBO’s The White Lotus, was home to Daphne, played by Meghann Fahy, and Harper, played by Aubrey Plaza, as they abandoned their husbands on their luxury vacation.
Now you and up to seven guests can also enjoy the home’s neoclassical architecture, Venetian chandeliers, 50 acres of gardens, citrus groves and a pond full of live swans. Nightly rates start from £4,814 (US$6,000) and there is a three night minimum for any stay.
Built in the 15th century as a hunting lodge for an Italian baron, Villa Tasca welcomed First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and King Ferdinand IV, according to the villa’s website. The grounds have also inspired the music of famous opera composers Richard Wagner and Giuseppe Verdi.
In The White Lotus, the villa is located in the city of Noto, known for its Baroque architecture. But Villa Tasca is actually located in Palermo, Sicily’s capital and where other tragic storylines in season 2 take place. According to Instagram, the property is regularly the site of weddings and disco parties.
Each apartment is listed as having private living rooms, carved wood closets, and marble bathroom tiles — but only one room has a king-size bed.
During your stay you will be looked after by a full-time staff including a concierge, butler, maids and house manager. For an additional, undisclosed fee, staff can arrange local tours and laundry services.
