You can create a pretty, minimalist floral arrangement with this copper pipe vase

When you think of vases, you most likely picture a single vessel that can hold a bouquet of flowers, often with half a dozen stems or so. These tall containers can be made of anything, although ceramic, stone or metal seem to be the preferred materials. Of course, they can actually be made of anything, nor does the concept of a vase dictate that there should only be a single container to hold the stems. There’s definitely plenty of room for variety in form and design, and this rather unusual vase challenges all of those assumptions, using not one, not even two, but seven tubes that may not even hold a single stem.

It’s easy not to imagine the Bulbous Lotus as anything other than a vase when there are no stems protruding from it. Metal whistles of varying heights are often more reminiscent of musical instruments than anything like a practical container. Perhaps that’s an appropriate association, considering how this unique vase creates a melody of a different kind, one that sings of the beauty of nature and the artistry of man.

The vase consists of two parts, both independent of each other and both beautiful in their own right. The circular base made of wood, either oak or walnut, gives the vase the necessary stability and ensures that it remains standing, no matter how large the flowers above it may be. It also has holes to insert the copper tubing into in your preferred arrangement. Finally, there is no hard and fast rule that these cylinders must be arranged in any particular order.

The slender copper tubes leave very little room for a stem or two, making you think about how your floral arrangement will look. Of course, you don’t even have to stick something in and leave some of the tubes empty to add a dramatic effect to the flowers there. You don’t even have to adjust the height of the tube to match the length of the stem, giving you complete freedom in how you want to combine different design elements. You are the artist and this vase is your canvas.

The use of copper for the pipes is by no means accidental. The metallic material has the effect that the water inside does not smell. Copper also discolours over time and rather than being an eyesore the unique patina gives each cylinder a unique look and character. Whether you want to fill the corner of the room with flowers or prefer a more minimalist arrangement that will remind people of zen gardens and bonsai, this distinctive metal and wood vase will give you the artistic freedom and creative exercise you need. to breathe some life into your space.
