On my recent trip to Singapore I toured the resort to see all it had to offer – take a look.

Singapore’s resort is probably the company’s most spectacular, as it was designed by famed architect Moshe Safdie.
MBS has seasonal decorations like the rabbit statue for Chinese New Year.

It consists of three towers, all connected by a long corridor with restaurants, shops and decor. The resort’s Deputy Director of Communications, Dawn Wang, explained that the buildings are inclined, with Tower 1 being the widest and Towers 2 and 3 being narrower.

The design is meant to mimic two playing cards leaning against each other to create a house of cards, which Safdie used as inspiration for the building.

I enjoyed the unique design, which also included huge windows and impressive plants and trees — all of which Wang says are real.

She also said the building is designed for sustainability, noting that the ceiling design creates natural light and the roof features a large solar panel system.

Although there are multiple entry points to MBS, the most efficient stop for check-in is Tower 1 as this is where the main lobby is located.

Going to the rooms, there are several elevators that will be upgraded with new sleek interiors, Wang explained.

We got off on the 10th floor and it was cool looking at all the plants and decor below.

I wasn’t able to see any of the rooms on my tour as they are undergoing renovations as part of the resort’s $1 billion upgrade project announced in early 2022.

According to MBS, guests will find all rooms and suites in Towers 1 and 2 redesigned by the end of this year.

A few original rooms remain, however, and offer luxuries like large TVs, plenty of closet space, city or garden views, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Connected to the ground floor by walkways are other attractions such as the ArtScience Museum, which has a virtual reality exhibit…

While the rooms may be shockingly expensive, I wasn’t surprised when Wang said the resort was 90% full — both before and after the pandemic.
